Tea Party

My Mom had a tea party with Julia the other day. She properly taught Julia how to pour her tea, drink her tea and of course have cookies with her tea! My mother thankfully knew that if she put real water in the tea pot Julia wouldn't have "tea" any other way, so she didn't put real water in the tea pot, however, that didn't stop Julia from asking for it the next day! She is so stinking smart!

Needed to hear

I found this reading this morning on another blog and needed to hear it this morning, so I will pass it on to you:
Commit your way to the Lord. Psalm 37:5a
Talk to God about whatever may be pressuring you and then commit the entire matter into His hands...Acquaint Him with it; yes, even burden Him with it, and you will have put the concerns and cares of the matter behind you. From that point forward, exercise quiet, sweet diligence in your work, recognizing your dependence on Him to carry the matter for you. Commit your cares and yourself with them, as one burden, to your God.

Clothing Optional

My children decided that clothing is optional at our house, however, Julia is always "dressing" herself so that she can undress herself!
Her black eye a week old.

Excuses

When it comes to bedtime, Memphis is full of excuses...this was our conversation last night...

Memphis: "Mom, Mom, Mom...need wash hands"
Mom: "We just took a bath, your hands are clean, now go to sleep"
Memphis: "no, need wash hands, see, see"
Mom now frustrated, gets up to see what is going on and ask "why do you need to wash your hands?"
Memphis sticking his hands in mom's face says "smell them"
Mom: "they smell fine, now go to sleep!"

Gage is doing good at his new school. The report is that he keeps them busy and there is never a dull moment with Gage! It also has been reported that he is SO darn cute that you have to be careful not to let that toothless grin forget why he is in trouble!

Julia has her first black eye. She tripped while carrying her puzzle and it hit her right under her eye. At first we thought it was going to swell shut, but it just left a nice shiner!

Fall Leaves

This last week we enjoyed the outside weather. We raked up our leaves and made a big pile to jump in! The kids had a blast!

Brothers....Memphis is missing Gage while he is at his "new school".

My attempt at getting a christmas card photo!

and of course Ms. Julia gave me her look...which I have to admit is pretty darn cute...however, ask me if I think it is cute when she is 16!
I am SO thankful for 3 beautiful healthy children. Please keep Stellan and Kate in your prayers.

Happy Halloween!

On Saturday we went trick-or-treating. Gage was spider man, Memphis was a Tiger and Julia was a carebear! I tried to get them all looking in the same direction at once, but it was even harder this year than last year! Julia only went up to the door when she was out of candy to eat! Gage was so excited and kept saying "lets try this one". However, last night on our walk Gage was determined to "try another house" to see if the candy kept coming!
