Julia learned how to crawl like a "normal" baby! She also has learned how to pull herself up! She loves to put her toy up on the surface she is pulling herself up to, pull herself up, drop her toy and than start all over again! She is buidling her muscles!

We went swimming on Saturday with Cathy, Kids, my Grandma and parents! We had lots of fun! We missed Mandy, but enjoyed the water! Julia is getting old enought to enjoy it more! Sorry the video is a little crazy, but it is hard to hang on to the camera while making sure nobody drowns!

Future diaster relief workers

Future diaster relief workers...their shirts have David's logo for the ministry on them. Of course taking Julia's picture was hard work, but after about 10 tries we finally got her to look at the camera and smile! David is anxious to get feeling better so he can head up to Fargo to help with the flood!

Eating Spagetti

Julia enjoyed her meal at the olive garden! She LOVES spagetti!

9 Months old

Julia is already nine months old! As each month passes we enjoy her more and more! She is SUCH a blessing! This weekend she started pulling herself up to things and walking along side of her crib! Time for Daddy to lower the mattress! She is developing such a fun personality! Her new favorite activity is dumping the garbage can out and playing with the paper inside! She is like a billy goat...she LOVES to eat paper!!!

Peek-a-Boo

Julia has discovered how to play peek-a-boo! She is SO darn cute when she plays it! She can play it over, and over again! Gage and Memphis like to play it with her too!

Nothing is safe anymore!

Julia has discovered that she can move room to room. She has been mobile for awhile, but pretty much stayed within a certain radius of her toys. Not now, she moves all over the place! Last night she discovered the trash can with "wonderful treasures" that were held inside as she scattered the treasures all over the floor. While I was cleaning up the trash, she discovered the book shelf and as she pulled each book off the shelf she would squeal with delight as the book made a loud noise as it hit the ground. After the book shelf she was off to the potatoes to discover that the bag made a wonderful noise when you rustled it. Next was the snack that she had saved for later on the floor under her height chair. Needless to say, I need to baby proof my house and maybe reconsider my rule of only sweeping the floor once a night!

Julia is the culprit

A couple of weeks ago, I went to get Julia up from her nap and found that her crib was full of crayons. I automatically blamed Memphis for it and gave him a lecture about staying out of Baby Julia's room while she is sleeping and not to put crayons in her bed. A few days later I discovered the crayons in her crib again. So again, (not thinking to move the crayons) I gave Memphis a lecture about the crayons. However, this weekend, when neither of the boys were around I went in after her nap to find Julia with crayons in her bed. I discovered that she has been reaching through the crib, pulling out the drawer of crayons and putting them in her bed. This time though, there where crayon markings not only in the bed, but all over her, the walls and her sheets. Sorry Memphis! Now it is time to call Val to find out the secret of getting crayons out of fabric!

Going home

THANK YOU all for your prayers. David is doing WONDERFUL. He has to take it easy for a few days, but overall is doing great. It sounds like we are just waiting for the ok, than we are on our way home. Julia has been with me yesterday and today....she isn't sleeping to good in a strange place, so we are excited to be at home tonight! The boys are with another family and doing good. My Dad is still slow in responding to the new medicine. THANKS again for all the prayers, support and love! We are truely blessed to have such a wonderful support system!

David is good!

David has made it succesfully through surgery today. He had a stent put in his right artery. The doctor was VERY please at the outcome and feel that David will have huge gains from the stent. As for the blockage in the leg, the doctor wants to see what opening up his heart will do for his leg.
Tonight he is resting, it has been a LONG day for him. After the procedure he has to lay completely flat and move as little as possible which makes it hard your back. The most painful thing is his back. They are giving him pain meds to help his back out. It is 9:00 and he was just able to roll on his side....2 more hours and he can sit up! If all continues to go as well as it has today, we will be on our way home tomorrow.

Update

So, this morning when I blogged I thought David was going to have open heart tomorrow am...however, after meeting with the whole team of doctors, that may not be what is best for him....we are still waiting to meet with one last doctor to determine if the stent or by-pass is the better option. We will keep you updated as we go. Please pray for wisdom in decision making!

Procedure

David is done with his test...it was quick because it showed quite a bit of blockage.....which means by-pass surgery. Please pray for David because he is going to be a tough one to get to lay still!

Heart Hospital

We moved David to the heart hospital today. They are a team of experts who deal with heart issues everyday and that is who I wanted taking care of my hubby! We had some laughable moments today as well as some hard ones. David's diabetics is out of wack again and the diabetics doc says all of this is from his diabetics, and the cardiologist says it is all because of his heart...so overall his body is in need of some TLC.
Tomorrow they are doing an angogram of his heart. This will determine what will be done next. This heart attack was a blessing in disguise because he was scheduled to have his clogged artery on his leg taken care of today, but if that would have been done, it would have put his life in jeopardy. So I guess you can say Praise God for the heart attack first!
My favorite moment of the day was when they were "interviewing" us to admit him to the heart hospital and the secretary asked David for his email address and he looked at her with a very puzzled look and said you need my female's address??? I think they need to check his ears while they are at it!
I am very thankful for all of the friends who have helped us. I praise God for everyone of you who are praying and helping. THANK YOU!!!!

Update on the family

As most of you know, David spent some time in the hospital this weekend. He had a heart attack on Friday night. However, because of the quick response of the EMT, aspirin, and nitros we prevented a full blown heart attack. Praise the LORD! We were blessed with wonderful neighbors that came immediately to help me get to the hospital and take care of the kids. ON Saturday, Tammy and Bridget took the boys and Julia stayed with me. Julia and I went to visit David but she was more interested in pulling out his IV's and the cords on his heart monitor. Today she successfully called the nurse for us without us even knowing it! She discovered what was under Daddy's bed. My Mom came to help me too! Mom's are always wonderful!!!

Gage informed Tammy that he like his coffee "black" and was convinced he saw Jesus at Tammy's church (the pastor wears robes). He managed not to destroy too much!

Memphis discovered that LeeRoy the fish needed water to survive and liked to feed him. Tammy's house is still is in once piece!

My Dad is in the hospital in Sioux Falls for some medicine tweeking. He is feeling pretty tough, but the doctors are hopeful that they can get him back up and going.
