David has made it succesfully through surgery today. He had a stent put in his right artery. The doctor was VERY please at the outcome and feel that David will have huge gains from the stent. As for the blockage in the leg, the doctor wants to see what opening up his heart will do for his leg.
Tonight he is resting, it has been a LONG day for him. After the procedure he has to lay completely flat and move as little as possible which makes it hard your back. The most painful thing is his back. They are giving him pain meds to help his back out. It is 9:00 and he was just able to roll on his side....2 more hours and he can sit up! If all continues to go as well as it has today, we will be on our way home tomorrow.

God is so good! I'll be praying for a quick, peaceful recovery for David and for you, too, Ruth. Tell him he is in good company; Barbara Bush had open-heart surgery, too. She said she almost didn't tell her kids about it, because she "didn't think it was a bog deal." Ha
oops, I don't know to proofread, like I always told my students to do..big deal instead of bog..
