Christmas

We tried to get the "perfect" family picture, but after 5 minutes of torture, I decided this is as good as it gets as well as the picture describes who we are! Like most who got hit by the christmas blizzard, our christmas was a little unusal. We got "snowed" in at Grandma's house in hopes that David would be able to sneak away from his job to see us. David did manage to sneak away on Wednesday and Thursday, but the blizzard kept him pretty busy! On Thursday we opened presents...the favorite presents had to be: Memphis's drum and guitar, Julia's furniture for her doll house and Gage's horse!

Julia got a little upset that the boy's kept getting cars to drive and she was getting "girly" things, so Grandma dug in her treasures and found a car for her to open. She was tickled pink! On Saturday Grandpa dug us out and we got to visit with the VZ cousin's for a little party. Julia slept thru most of it, but eventually woke up to join the fun!
To help keep us entertained we built tents, made cookies, played playdough and played with marbles. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa took all 3 kids to church while Mommy took a much needed nap! Julia had on her beautiful christmas dress but didn't want her picture taken. however, a little later, with a little bribing, she was happy to cooperate
and on Monday, when I dressed the boys in their new clothes, Gage declares that his clothes smell like "K-Mart smart" clothes!

Popcorn

I got tired of cleaning up my children's popcorn mess so I let them do it!

Send me to Nanny's!

Julia wanted to be sent to Nanny's and Paw-Paw's house where it was warm!

On Wednesday December 23rd, we traveled to my mom's house to get stranded for the blizzard. My mom doesn't have internet at her house and I have been "lost" without the internet. More from our adventure coming soon....

Family Fun

This weekend we packed up the kids headed to a motel with a cool water park and did some swimming, some cuddling,

and of course some eating!

The kids had a blast and we enjoyed ourselves!

Greeted

This morning I was greeted by a naked baby! Julia has successfully learned how to undress herself and take off her diaper! Is she her mother's daughter or what!!!!!!!

Cheeeeeeze!

Julia LOVES hats,espcially the ones Grandma Great made her! She was posing for these pictures and was loudly saying eeeeeese!

Grandma Gave in

On Saturday we went to Grandma's house to spend the day with Grandpa Great and play. While we were there Julia found Grandma's tea set and of course wanted water in the tea pot, and Grandma GAVE in and let her little princess and prince play tea party with water and marshmellows! That darn Grandma!

Snow

Yesterday we had our first snow storm of the year. We got out of school early so I got to spend the afternoon with my kidos! What fun! Before the cold weather set in, we headed out for a quick play in the snow. However, Julia was LESS THAN IMPRESSED with the idea and cried the whole time(5 minutes) we were outside! Memphis LOVES the snow and will take an opportunity to run, play and eat it! We stayed snug as a bug in a rug for the rest of the night!

Mother of the year

I always strive to become mother of the year and I would never let my daughter dress herself, climb on the table and eat rice krispy bars and call it breakfast because if I want to be nominated for mother of the year, my daughter would always eat a nutrious breakfast while wearing her best! And if I wanted to be nomiated for mother of the year, I would never let my son lick the sugar off his doughnut because if I was mother of the year, he wouldn't be eating sugar doughnuts! And never would the mother of the year take a picture of him licking the sugar off the doughnut while she was driving!
