New Bike

Memphis got a new bike for his birthday...he was SO proud! He also got a bell to go on it and he would say "Tinkerbell" and than tink his bell. It was SO darn cute. After we gave him a bath he looked at us and said something like all I want to do is ride my bike in 3 year old language!

The conclusion

What makes a story worthy of a song?
Answer: 6 A story where the only main character is GOD!
We do not need to be the ones seeking the glory...our "achievements" should look past us and bring glory to God. Simply put...Get outside of ourselves and celebrate God
Answer: 7 A story displaying the exploits of many. Find prayer warriors, be prayer warriors, be on your knees and build each other up and start warring the enemy and not each other
Answer:8 A story of tested character and courage
Avoid the astounding crudeness in this world...be woman of DIGNITY!

What makes a life worthy of a song?

What makes a life worthy of a song?

Answer number 3: A story of God's direction, not just man's convention, which basically means, do what God calls you to do. She used the example of Deborah in Judges 5:7...Deborah settled disputes as a MOTHER not as a father. Deborah has been used by feminist to say "look at what you can do as a woman" and Beth is saying take your place as a women...not the man....just as Deborah has.
Answer Number 4: A story of a life willing to Go, not determined to stay....defining that is simply asking yourself "Where is God telling me to Go?"
Answer Number 5: A story of unexpected twists and turns.....life has betrayals...and she asked the question what does a woman do when our husbands allied with the enemy....Answer ATTACK THE ENEMY....get focused in your battles and nail the enemy to the floor...not your husband...start waring the enemy not each other!!
I needed to hear this yesterday...I was frustrated with life and I was mad at everybody and everything and it wasn't them it was ME!!!!! So today I am focused to fight the battle of "frustration"!

Beth Moore

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend a Beth Moore conference at the farGODome in North Dakota...it was ABSOUTELY refreshing and taught me so much! She taught from Judges 4-5 and the life of Deborah. In Judges 4 it tells the story of Deborah, and in chapter 5 it is Deborah's song. So Beth asked the question, "what makes a life worthy of being a song?" If you were to die today what would your life song be? She gave 8 answers to the question of what makes a life worthy of song. The first answer was "a life with considerable drama" as she talked on this, my life at home was working on drama. Gage decided that some diseal fuel left by the street workers in a gatorade bottle would be enjoyable to drink...after David hauled all 3 kids in the ER by himself, we discovered that diseal fuel does not interact with his medicine and that giving gave a warm shower for 15-20 minutes would help detoxify his body. He had one stinky poop and the "drama" was over. The second answer was a "life with a cast of characters" including the "enemy". She talked about getting to the heart of the matter and breaking down strong holds...at the root of all strongholds are lies....so she asked us "what lies are we choosing to believe?" There was so much more, but digest that for today....

Sweet Corn

A delicious part of the year has come...SWEET CORN!

One can husk corn with a binky in their mouth, one can husk corn while riding a bike and one can actually help with husking the corn. Julia had her fair share of corn....good thing she went to daycare today so I don't have to change those diapers!

Summary of the trip

We made it back home again from Georgia. The plane rides were adventurous with little time in between flights and bad weather. Julia had the whole airplane figured out...she knew where the magazines where kept and read them page by page(aka..tore all the pages out). She loved eating the ice that flight attendant brought by!

The boys enjoyed their "vacation" to Grandma Pam's house and want to go back.

Julia had fun with her Aunt Torrie...she went shopping, had sweet tea, french fries, got a new toy and 2 new dresses. At first she wouldn't let Aunt Torrie touch her and by the end she was giving her kisses!

Cousin Cody has been use to being the only Grandchild for 2o some years and had a hard time accepting that there was another baby entering his territory, but Julia charmed him and he has accepted he is the favorite grandson and Julia is the favorite granddaughter. They love each other and have Nanny and Paw-Paw wrapped around their little fingers.
She got a new purse and carries it with her everywhere she goes. She is such a girly, girl however in her purse she carries her cars and farm animals!
Julia had a wonderful time with her Nanny too...she gave her lots of kisses as well.

We wished they lived closer so we could see them more often! David's Dad is weak from the all the medicine he is on. His blood work is looking good, but unfortunately to get to better you have to go through feeling yucky.
