2 Months

Bethany is 2 months old

at 2 months, Bethany is smiling and cooing

and has lots of rolls to clean around. She is a great sleeper at night sleeping between 5-7 hours. She likes to eat and sit in her bumbo chair and watch the world around her! She hates loud noises and when her siblings bug her, but they so badly think she needs toys, loving, and food!

Life at the Baker House

So we have Bethany home from the hospital, and she turned

and 1 month

Julia turned 3 and had a pink cake and got her bike, that she is still learning to ride. Julia didn't lose her fashion sense

We had VBS and Julia got to go and was SUPER excited to go and sing!

We played with cousins and have been blessed with an awesome Grandma!

Gage lost his first tooth (naturally) and last not least, can you guess what Memphis did to his face (both side that is)if you guessed rubbing his brand new flip flops on his face until it was rubber burned you were right! Seriously that is what happened! Life at the Baker's is never dull!

Coming Home

We came home a week ago, but haven't had a chance to update! I had her all dressed and ready to go and she pooped and than while I changed her she peed all over and we had to start all over again! The blanket was made by Anna-Kari for Julia, but it is SO beautiful I couldn't help but take Bethany home in it!

She thought this jacket was scratchy...I must admit I thought so too! It was mine when I was a baby.When we got home, Julia greeted me at the door asking if I had her boys with. I told her no, but I had "her" baby. She was SO excited that she was shaking. She screaming "my baby, my baby!". After we had been home awhile Julia asks "do we have to take her back now?" to which I responded, no we get to keep her. The expression on her face was priceless! She ran through the house screaming we get to keep her, we get to keep her. Than she told papa and grandma that we get to keep her!
On Saturday, Julia woke up and informed me "My gonna help you ALL day long!" Julia has been my little helper, Memphis has to check it all out and Gage doesn't think it is as fun as he thought it was going to be.

I said I would NEVER let any of my children sleep in my bed! Than along came Julia, who some how ended up in our bed, which I think had a lot to do with Grandpa letting her sleep with him during nap time. Anyways, she is getting kicked out! So we have been preparing her that when sister comes she was going to have to sleep in her bedroom with her sister so she wouldn't get scared. So tonight, Julia is all ready and is excited to sleep in the same room as "her baby" and climbs in her bed. 5 minutes later Julia comes out and reports "My asked Bethany and her not want me to sleep with her!"

Bethany Ollie Luella

Bethany Ollie Luella arrived May 24th, 2011 at 10:34 am. She weighed 7lbs and 90z and was 20 inches long. Monday night I was blessed by my bible study friends who came to my house to have bible study because I was on bed rest. During bible study, Bethany decided she better start working on coming since they were going to take her the next day by c-section. My contractions were 20 minutes apart, but I thought I just had to go to the bathroom and couldn't go. However, Cathy knew better and I was in labor. At 3:00 in the morning, I awoke to contractions that were 5 minutes apart and getting stronger, however, when I called in they said just to wait until our arrival time at 6:45 unless they really started coming. David and I arrived at the hospital at 6:45 and spent the morning prepping for surgery. However, David got sick and was told he could not come in the operating room. My Mom arrived just in time to be able to come with me to experience the birth of her grandaughter. It was a special bonding time for all of us. The c-section process is a little overwheleming, but I was blessed with wonderful nurses and felt so full of the Holy Spirit, it was very peaceful! While receiving my spinal, one of the nurses held me and I could just feel the prayers flowing down over me! At 10:34, my Mom and I heard Bethany's strong cry and the moment I was waiting for was finally here! She was a healthy baby girl and I had made it through! I was able to kiss Bethany before Grandma and the pediatrician took her to the nursery to clean her up and do her "vitals". I was blessed to spend only a few short minutes in the recovery room. My body is healing very well. Bethany nursed great her first day and was a very content baby. She has the most beautiful black hair and in my eyes is 1 of my 4 perfect children! She has a danty little face with dark eyes. Her feet are the longest baby feet I have ever seen and are narrow! Ardelle, Carissa, Raela, Cathy, Ginger came to visit us. The rest of the Baker babies came that evening and the loved her to pieces. Julia cried the whole way home she wanted to take her baby home with her! Gage's smile was priceless and Memphis checked out all of her body parts and enjoyed looking in the nursery window to watch all the babies. They got new shirts that said "big brother and big sister" from the Wolbrinks! (Which they have not taken off in 2 days!) Daddy finally got to hold his littlest princess with a mask and washed hands and arms! Bethany and Mommy had a great first night together. Bryce, Tammy and Bridget came to visit us today. Bethany is showing her temper and is mad that my milk hasn't come in. Mommy gave in and gave her a taste of formula and she is happily sleeping away again. Julia had to be carried out of the hosptial kicking and screaming because she didn't want to leave her baby. She is becoming VERY attached! After a busy day of nursing, Bethany and I are ready to head to bed!
