Bethany 1 year

 Bethany proved hard to take her 12 month pictures....she did not want to sit still for it....these are the best we got...we will have to try again tomorrow. 

We spent her first birthday playing at the park and swimming.  We enjoyed pizza ranch with our Lake Sunday School group.  At 1 year Bethany is able to pull herself up by things, but doesn't take steps or cruise around things.  She has a beautiful smile and a beautiful curls.  Her temper is also growing as she develops her personality.  She weighs 21 lbs 14 ozs.  Befers we love you very much!

Great Grandma's Cinnamon Rolls

This weekend my mom helped my Grandma move to assisted living. They cleaned out the freezer and there were 4 of her famous cinnamon rolls left. My mom took them home for a treat for the grandkids.

Sleep

You would think I have a newborn in the house with the lack of sleep I got last night!  I was up every half and hour!  When I asked Memphis what was going on last night and why he was up so much he replies  "I couldn't handle it"  Handle what????  "SLEEPING".

Julia story

Today I was determined to give Julia a nap and so was Grandma.  So I told her Grandma needed a nap and she had to lay with her so she wouldn't get scared.  So Julia and Grandma went to bed and pretty soon here comes Julia and I say "Julia, get back to bed" to which Julia replies..."Grandma's ok mom, I just checked on her!"

Happy 7th Birthday Gage!

I can hardly believe Gage is going to be 7!  5 years ago a little toothless boy who had a smile that made anyone smile entered our lives.  He was a boy who LOVED cars and communicated through grunts.  5 years later he still has a toothless smile that lights up a room but is doing amazing at school.  He is just about done with Kindergarten and ready to enter 1st grade.  Gage LOVES animals (not real ones though), playing Wii, and playing in the water.  Gage's memory is awesome except when it comes to something his mommy asked him to do!He still hates to have his toenails cut and real dogs.  He was brave today and held a baby kitty.  We celebrated by having Grandma and Grandpa, The Ebbens family (our favorite friends and neighbors) and had pizza, cake and fellowship! 

Happy Mother's Day

I am the mother of 4 beautiful children!  I may not always have the laundry done, dishes washed or the house cleaned.  I may not always make the best choices for my kids, or always enjoy company in the bathroom, but I love them dearly and would not trade them for the world.  My prayer that as a mother I would teach my children to LOVE God more than anything in this world. 

Never a Dull moment

Besides our "normal" craziness around the Baker house this week we had extra fun! 
Monday I had my wisdom tooth pulled because it was the WORST pain I have ever had. 
Tuesday I had 3 IEP meetings followed by a frantic call from my hubby that there was bad weather coming. 
Wednesday was pretty quiet.
Thursday we signed more adoption paper work, killed two huge snakes living under my front step, went to Julia's and Memphis's Dakota preschool graduation, had 2 extra kids at school with me, did a massive clean of the house for our home inspection on Friday. 
Friday had our home inspection, went to the school play and had bad weather. 
Saturday we were awoken by loud thunder which sent David off to work for the day, which left my mom and I to hold down the fort...so we went swimming and to the park inbetween the rain! 
Sunday we had Sunday School and cleaned the van because of the possible new van that we may get and discovered a water filled basement.
Monday to Sioux Falls and Mitchell for 2 Doctors appointments, shopping and old fashion baths!
Tuesday blood work for Bethany, field trip for the middle children and school for the rest!
